The role

 

On a daily basis, the Advisor, Corporate Communications maintains a constant and proactive dialogue with the project's internal audiences. This person plays a key role in the transmission of information within the organization. His or her main mission is to ensure team cohesion and commitment through appropriate communication strategies.

The Advisor, Corporate Communications reports to the Manager, Corporate Communications. Working with his/her team, they are responsible for designing tools, content and events to mobilize the organization's internal audiences. They advise and equip internal clients to enhance the impact of their external and internal communications. Day-to-day work takes the form of messages, articles, intranet pages, newsletters, FAQs, presentations and more. They help organize meetings and activities for a variety of audiences. This person also contributes to informing and mobilizing teams around project progress.

 

The responsibilities 

 

  • Design and distribute various communications products for internal audiences (production of digital tools such as intranet pages, newsletters, presentations, writing messages and articles, analysis, etc.).
  • Participate in the organization of major meetings and events.
  • Advise internal teams by assessing communications needs and recommending appropriate strategies (internal and external).
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Ensure consistency of messages and corporate image.

 

The requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in communications and in the preparation of various communications products and documents.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex content and fluency in verbal communications.
  • Proven writing and desktop publishing skills.
  • Proactive approach, sense of initiative, creativity.
  • Proficiency in technological and office automation tools (Microsoft suite in particular).
  • Knowledge of best practices for managing information on SharePoint or an intranet;
  • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written.
  • Experience working on a linear infrastructure development project or major commercial or industrial development project (an asset).
  • Knowledge of the mass transit and rail sectors and their specific issues (an asset).
