Would you like to take on a stimulating, high-impact challenge?  We are looking for an Advisor, Real Property Consultations.

 

The role

 

Reporting to the Director, Real Property Consultations, you will support relationship management, assist in negotiations, and ensure Alto’s land-related activities are well coordinated and clearly communicated. This role will evolve quickly as the project advances, with responsibilities expanding and shifting as new milestones are reached.

 

The responsibilities

 

  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with landowners and their associations.
  • Support the preparation and follow-up of agreements, negotiation records, and briefing materials.
  • Help organize land-related activities with external partners, including information sessions and discussion tables.
  • Act as a point of contact for the Engagement & Communications team on land-related content for public-facing activities.
  • Draft reports and presentations for management, government partners, and stakeholder working groups.
  • Monitor the progress of landowner relations and agreements, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Conduct research to support negotiations and impact mitigation strategies.

 

The requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, administration, political science, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in stakeholder relations, negotiations, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, combined with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in line with project objectives.
  • Ability to produce clear, well-structured reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable using Excel and analytical tools to organize and interpret information.
  • Skills in GIS (mapping, spatial analysis) and experience in managing land or territorial data are considered assets.
  • Curious and proactive mindset to grow in a fast-moving project environment.
  • Fluency in both official languages (French and English) is an asset.
  • Legal and operational knowledge related to land acquisition, land negotiations, planning frameworks, or public infrastructure (contractual agreements, Real property concepts) is considered an asset.
