The role
Reporting to the Director, Commercial and Contracts, the Analyst, Contract Management, plays a crucial role in supporting Alto’s contract administration function, with a particular focus on the Pre-Development Agreement (PDA) that governs the Co-Development Phase. During this phase, Alto and Cadence, the private development partner, collaborate to advance the project design, engage in consultations with local communities, Rightsholders, and stakeholders, and secure a positive Impact Assessment decision, among other activities.
The key responsibilities of the contract administration function, which is part of the Commercial team, include collaborating with Cadence, providing support to Alto’s teams on contract interpretation, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and providing analytical support to optimize contract performance.
The responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring Cadence’s performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring they follow the terms and conditions of the PDA.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve contract-related issues and provide updates on contract status.
- Conduct analysis and provide strategic advice to support the team in their interactions with Cadence.
- Support the team, as needed, in the review of invoices, changes requests, etc. as per the terms of the PDA.
- Prepare dashboards, maintain logs and prepare reports and presentations to inform the leadership team on the status of activities related to the contract management aspects of the projects.
- Conduct research and contract analysis, as needed, to support the team in developing strategies for the future agreements.
- Lead the development and management of internal planning, reporting and dashboards to provide comprehensive insights into the team’s key activities.
The requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or law, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bilingualism (English and French), both spoken and written.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt in an evolving environment.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Action and results oriented.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
