The role
Reporting to the Contract Manager, Commercial and Contracts, the Contract Administrator, plays a crucial role in supporting Alto’s contract administration function, with a particular focus on the Pre-Development Agreement (PDA) that governs the Co-Development Phase (CDP). During this phase, Alto and Cadence, the private developer partner, collaborate to advance the project design, engage in consultations with local communities, Rightsholders, and stakeholders, and secure a positive impact assessment decision, among other activities. As part of the Commercial team, the Contract Administration function plays a critical role in supporting Alto’s operations. Key responsibilities include advising teams on contract interpretation, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and conditions, and delivering analytical insights to enhance contract performance. This role thrives on collaboration—working closely with cross-functional teams to align strategies, resolve challenges, and unlock value. It also involves engaging with Cadence when needed to drive shared outcomes.
The responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate internal change review committees, including the identification and analysis of contract sections, obligations, risks, and timelines impacted by proposed changes.
- Ensure compliance with contractual procedures related to change management, including notice requirements, approval workflows, and governance protocols.
- Oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data as required under the PDA.
- Analyze KPI results against performance thresholds, identify potential non‑compliance, and prepare recommendations for management review.
- Act as a key liaison with legal, project, finance, technical, and commercial teams to support effective change management and performance monitoring.
- Manage and maintain contract management information, including amendments, change records, KPI data, CDP documentation, correspondence, and approval records, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Prepare and present recurring reports, dashboards, and trackers to support contract management oversight, governance forums, and informed decision‑making.
The requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or law, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bilingualism (English and French), spoken and written.
- Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt in an evolving environment.
- Detail-oriented, action-driven and result-focused
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in infrastructure projects is an asset.
