The role

 

The Intune Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and security of corporate endpoints and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) devices across multiple office locations in Quebec and Ontario. This role ensures secure, reliable and compliant device operations within a 100% Microsoft / Entra ID environment, supporting approximately 600 endpoints and 100 Teams Rooms. It ensures compliance with Canadian Government security standards, manages device lifecycles via Intune/Autopilot, and provides specialized management for MTR Pro systems. The role focuses on execution, working closely with IT Security and internal stakeholders to implement established standards and maintain a stable end-user environment.

 

The responsibilities

 

  • Configure, manage and support Windows 11, W365 Virtual Desktops and iOS devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Execute Windows Autopilot deployments to enable zero-touch device provisioning.
  • Participate in the creation and deployment of Compliance Policies, Configuration Profiles, and Conditional Access policies in conjunction with IT Security team to ensure security standards.
  • Manage Windows Update Rings, feature updates and patching activities to ensure system stability and security.
  • Package, test and deploy applications via Intune Company Portal, leveraging tools such as PatchMyPC as applicable.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain MTR devices across four sites, including troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues.
  • Create and manage resource accounts for meeting rooms.
  • Apply security updates, manage device configuration profiles, and ensure compliance for all Teams Rooms devices. 
  • Interact with external third-party support vendors for on-site troubleshooting and next day business support as required.
  • Support the implementation of device configurations aligned with applicable Canadian Government security requirements (ex. ITSG-33).
  • Monitor and respond to endpoint security alerts using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and user guides.

 

The requirements

 

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an IT support or administration role, including at least 2 years of hands-on Microsoft Intune administration.
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, Windows Autopilot, and Conditional Access and Compliance Policies.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms certified devices (Primarily Polycom x30/x52 series and Rally Pro systems)
  • Eligibility to obtain Canadian Government Secret level clearance (or already holds security clearance).
  • Bilingualism (French/English) considered a strong asset due to operations in Quebec and Ontario.

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals)
  • Experience in MTR-P (Pro) license management.
  • PowerShell scripting for task automation.
