Positioned as a trusted advisor within the communications function, this role brings a strong blend of strategic judgment and digital expertise to elevate how the organization shows up across social platforms. The incumbent helps shape priorities, influences cross-functional decision-making, and ensures social media is leveraged as a business and brand enabler. • Lead a forward-looking, audience-led social media strategy that expands reach, strengthens engagement, and supports broader organizational objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end social media monitoring, moderation, and community engagement, identifying emerging trends, reputational risks, and strategic opportunities while ensuring timely responses and appropriate escalation of sensitive issues.
  • Oversee the development, review, publishing, and optimization of timely, high-impact content aligned with corporate priorities, audience expectations, platform dynamics, and organizational standards.
  • Ensure message consistency and brand integrity across channels, adapting content to reinforce enterprise priorities, campaigns, and digital presence.
  • Guide and support the identification and mitigation of misinformation and reputational issues online, coordinating response approaches with internal subject-matter experts and playing a leadership role in issues and crisis communications.
  • Serve as a key social media resource for internal partners and leadership, providing strategic counsel, influencing cross-functional collaboration, and championing best practices in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Leverage analytics and performance insights to inform senior-level recommendations, refine tactics, and measure contribution to organizational outcomes.
  • Contribute to the evolution of social media governance, frameworks, and capability-building initiatives across the organization.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, effectively managing responsibilities independently while ensuring alignment with strategic direction and deadlines.

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in social media management, community engagement, or a similar role.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, with professional-level proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in both languages.
  • Solid experience in content creation and visual storytelling, with proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong creative thinking and a keen eye for visual aesthetics and emerging digital trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Strong judgment and responsiveness in managing online interactions, including sensitive or high‑visibility situations.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and derive actionable insights to optimize content and engagement strategies.
